My wife implemented this bag on a recent trip where the overnight temps had been in the mid 20's. It kept her warm and toasty when wearing only a single layer of light clothing. As with any bag, achieving maximum warmth demands great insulation from the ground (we use an inflatable mattress and pad). It's as well heavy and bulky for hiking, but great for auto camping.
EDIT: I don't know why Amazon chose to move this assessment to the Significant bag, because my original review was for the Typical sized version of this bag. I still stand behind my original critique of that bag. My wife has employed this bag for two other cold weather trips considering that then with no difficulties.
This bag is extremely roomy. It appears properly-created and it looks beneficial. The item is described as becoming suitable for zero degrees F. I utilized it, in a tent, when the outside temp was in the mid-30s, and it was about proper w/ sweats and socks. I would not try it a zero F w/o an interior bag or other added protection. It compresses fairly effectively, and could potentially be taken on an overnight hike, but it's mostly for campground camping. General, I'm pleased w/ the obtain.
